Lawns Open    Lawns Closed
Madison Square Park Conservancy is responsible for the maintenance of the park’s lawns, which includes closing the lawns each year from October through May for reseeding. With the heightened need for public space, the Conservancy has kept the lawns open throughout the pandemic. For the month of April, all lawns will be closed to reestablish the grass in time for summer.

More Ways to Give

Volunteers 3
Make a Meaningful Contribution
There are many other ways to make a lasting contribution to our park, from lending a hand as a volunteer, to dedicating a park bench to someone you love.
Volunteering Leaf Raking

Our community volunteers give to the park with their time, effort, and commitment. Volunteers work hand-in-hand with our trained staff to plant, rake, and paint, keeping our grounds clean and beautiful throughout the year. Their contributions are instrumental in preserving Madison Square Park as a public green space.

Park Dedications

Celebrate a milestone or honor a loved one with a park dedication. Choose a bench in a meaningful location in the park and personalize it with a heartfelt message. It’s a lasting gift and an unforgettable way to support the park you both love.

Associate Board

The Associate Board engages residents and supporters who care deeply about the park. Acting as ambassadors, the board’s role is to help spread the word about the organization’s work, and play a vital role in sustaining and strengthening Madison Square Park Conservancy.

Gifts of Stock

Gifts of any amount of appreciated stock are a tax-deductible way to help in the maintenance and upkeep of your park.

Legacy Giving

Making a bequest to the Conservancy is a generous way to help us maintain the park and leave a lasting legacy in your community for generations to come.
