The Oval Lawn is the beating emerald heart at the very center of the park. On warm days, it’s prime real estate for sun-bathers, morning meditators, picnickers, and city dwellers looking to spend an afternoon in the park.
Covered in a blanket of Kentucky Bluegrass and Fescue, the Oval Lawn is one of the most popular green spaces in the city. As a public art exhibition space, it rivals the city’s great cultural institutions—there is no more desired section of the park for our commissioned artists to show their work.
Among the many monuments and amenities that call our seven-acres home, the Oval Lawn is the park’s most sought-after destination.
