Interested in learning more about the statue of William Seward in Madison Square Park and why it was installed? Join Jeffrey Ludwig, Director of Education at the Seward House Museum, for a virtual program about Seward’s legacy in New York. Ludwig will trace Seward’s career to its beginnings as a progressive, young New York Governor in the 1830s and 1840s, a man whose political legacy was shaped by championing equal rights for immigrants, people of color, and the disenfranchised in NYC.
