City of Forest Day 2023
Saturday, October 14 | 10 – 1 PM | Northern Reflecting Pool
This City of Forest Day, celebrate Madison Square Park, Manhattan’s only accredited arboretum.
This annual event is a citywide celebration of the city’s urban forest, which is made up of public parks, street trees, community gardens, and woodlands. Presented by Forest for All NYC in partnership with the Parks and Open Space Partners – NYC Coalition and NYC Parks.
Stop by the Reflecting Pool to take a look at leaf-pressing samples from trees you’ll observe in the park, grab an arboretum map, and embark on a self-guided trek. Guided treks by a member of the Horticulture team will be available every half-hour.
