Madison Square Park Conservancy is responsible for the maintenance of the park’s lawns which are in the process of spring reseeding. While the grass is establishing now, visitors should expect the majority of lawns to be ready for use in late May.  Lawns are open daily for public use starting at 10 AM through 5 PM, weather permitting. Lawns are closed on Parade Days.  Learn more about park hours and rules by visiting our FAQ page.

The Stop Single-Use Pledge

Stop Single-Use Pledge

In the United States, 80% of products are used only once and then thrown away. These single-use items fill trash bins at Madison Square Park, especially at lunch time, and can harm wildlife and create carbon emissions when they eventually end up in landfills.

By pledging to reject single-use items when ordering food, and opting for reusable cups, straws, and utensils instead, you can make a big impact on the amount of trash that ends up in our waste stream.
