Madison Square Park Conservancy is responsible for the maintenance of the park’s lawns which are in the process of spring reseeding. While the grass is establishing now, visitors should expect the majority of lawns to be ready for use in late May.  Lawns are open daily for public use starting at 10 AM through 5 PM, weather permitting. Lawns are closed on Parade Days.  Learn more about park hours and rules by visiting our FAQ page.

Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz

DSC00148

On Friday, September 24 – 26, join us to support the Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz campaign. Celebrate pollinators across the country and raise awareness as parks play a key role in protecting and preserving pollinators and their habitats.

Meet expert gardeners in the park to discuss the bees, bats, birds, and butterflies that pollinate our park. Using the free iNaturalist app, find these important species and help protect the pollinators that keep Madison Square Park green.

Registration is closed.
