Madison Square Park Conservancy is responsible for the maintenance of the park’s lawns which are in the process of spring reseeding. While the grass is establishing now, visitors should expect the majority of lawns to be ready for use in late May.  Lawns are open daily for public use starting at 10 AM through 5 PM, weather permitting. Director of Horticulture and Park Operations

Stephanie Lucas

Stephanie oversees park operations, horticulture, and the park’s Ambassador Program. She has been with the Conservancy since July 2010. As curator of the Conservancy’s horticulture program, Steph designs public plants exhibitions and led the cultivation of five perennial plant collections, two of which have been accredited. She is a Chanticleer Scholar, an ISA Certified Arborist, and a Gold Certified Parks and Recreation Professional. In her free time, Stephanie serves as the President of the Metro Hort Group. Stephanie graduated with a BS in both Plant Science and Turfgrass Science and a minor in Landscape Design from the University of Connecticut.
