Judith Pineiro
Judith Pineiro brings over 30 years of exceptional experience to the forefront of the cultural community. Most recently, for over a decade as the Executive Director of the Association of Art Museum Curators (AAMC) and its Foundation, where she significantly enhanced the organization’s brand profile, governance framework, and commitment to diversity, equity, accessibility, inclusion, and belonging, all while expanding funding streams to ensure sustainable growth. Judith’s extensive career includes senior roles such as External Affairs Consultant, Director of the Affordable Art Fair U.S., Associate Development Director for Institutional Advancement at the Museum of Arts and Design, and Account Manager for Museum Services at Christie’s, and work at galleries in New York and Los Angeles. In her dedication to cultural and creative industries, Judith has held influential positions, including a fellowship in the Cultural and Creative Industries and Local Development at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development; Vice Chair of the Council of Affiliates for the American Alliance of Museums; a board member positions at ArtTable (including VP roles), ArtBridge Projects, and the New York Artists Equity Association; and a mentor in the Diversity in Arts Leadership program. Judith is a sought-after speaker, having presented at esteemed events hosted by organizations such as the American Alliance of Museums, Aspen Institute, Association of African American Museums, Bard Graduate Center, Jamaican Arts Society, Museum Computer Network, New York Foundation of the Arts, Wheaton College, and more. A first-generation American and college graduate, Judith holds an MA in Art History, a Certificate in Curatorial Studies, and dual BA degrees in Art History and Journalism/Mass Media, all from Rutgers University.
