In our most recent MSPC Tree Report, Stephanie Lucas, Director of Horticulture and Park Operations, notes that more brown and muted colors are visible in the park this autumn than usual, the result of hot, dry weather and environmental stresses experienced across the region during the past two years. The good news, however, is that our park has fared well in the face of this drought, thanks to careful planning and extra care by the Horticulture Team. 

In addition to Steph’s foliage report and info about the park’s latest tree survey, the report includes a sneak peek of this year’s 42-foot holiday tree, which will be publicly lit on December 9 at 5 PM at the Northern Reflecting Pool.
