For the past three years visitors have submitted their letters in celebration of Madison Square Park trees. These handwritten notes each have their own individual expression.  Some included letters of  thanks, others composed poems, some drew illustrations. While the trees can’t write letters in return, we wanted to share this project of love with the greater community and thank all of our tree lovers for their support of our urban forest.

Letters to the trees will be returning to Madison Square Park this spring. Look for mailboxes throughout the park starting April 15th to submit your letter.
