Meet Associate Board Member Michelle Park
Throughout the year, Madison Square Park will be highlighting some of our amazing Associate Board Members. Their contributions and work as park ambassadors help to ensure that the park remains clean, green, beautiful, and appreciated all year long.
Today we are featuring Michelle Park, one of our newest Associate Board Members, and a treasured friend of Madison Square Park. Here’s some more about Michelle, in her own words:
Hi, my name is Michelle W. Park, and I’m a member of Madison Square Park Conservancy’s Associate Board. Though I don’t currently live near the park, it is located close to where I work, and I love whenever I have an opportunity to stop by and enjoy the current art installation being featured, or just unwind and take in the greenery and lushness found in the heart of the park.
I became an Associate Board Member to continue to build a sense of community with those around me here in New York City. The Conservancy’s sustainability efforts also struck a chord with me, and it has been an honor to be able to help steward a cleaner, brighter future for the park, the neighborhood, and the environment.
Madison Square Park is also a great source of inspiration for two of my favorite hobbies: gardening and composting. Between their vibrant and diverse gardens and their weekly composting program, I have learned a lot from the park, and am excited for the opportunity to give back in my role on the Associate Board.
