Madison Square Park Conservancy will participate in “NYC Homecoming,” a citywide cultural celebration running from August 14–22. Featuring live concerts, movie screenings, cultural activities, and public art, the weeklong of events will highlight New York City’s resilience throughout the pandemic. Visitors to the park can experience Maya Lin’s Ghost Forest and listen to the Soundscape accompanying the project. The Conservancy’s founder, Board member and Art Committee member Danny Meyer, Mayor Bill de Blasio, Clive Davis, and Live Nation are leading the program’s inspiration and planning. “NYC Homecoming” culminates in a historic concert on the Great Lawn in Central Park on Saturday, August 21 featuring Jennifer Hudson, LL Cool J, Patti Smith, and Bruce Springsteen.
