Hello, my name is Marco Oppedisano and I am the Store Director of Eataly NYC Flatiron. Ever since we opened our doors in August of 2010 at 200 Fifth Avenue, we have looked for ways to integrate and give back to the neighborhood that was hosting us. Partnering with Madison Square Park Conservancy was a natural step for us and the perfect way to be part of this vibrant community. Since then we have proudly watched our store grow into the staple of the neighborhood that it is today. 

It is no surprise that this year has been tough, but we have been blessed with a community that has stood strong and offered so much support to local businesses, including ours. We have been humbled by the residents and businesses that have come to shop our store every day. In return, we have made sure to adopt robust safety protocols and procedures to make everybody feel welcome, and most of all, safe and secure as they shop our shelves. Hearing guests come in and thank us for the safety measures we have adopted, reminds us every day of the great neighborhood we now call home. Since the beginning we took all the necessary measures to create a safe environment for our staff and our guests, and we continue down the safety first motto even with our new projects!

As with previous years, our rooftop restaurant SERRA by Birreria was not going to let 2020 stop its winter transformation. Starting from December 7th, SERRA became a star-studded woodland escape, SERRA Stellata – In the Woods. In this rendition of our most popular restaurant, we dive deep into the wintery woods with a menu filled with seasonal ingredients and smoky notes, all while ensuring the utmost safety for our guests and staff. We have heaters to keep the guests warm, and table dividers to keep them distanced and safe.  

On our ground floor, you can find our expanded holiday market! This year we have gone bigger than ever. What can you find? We are featuring classic Italian holiday treats, curated gift baskets, and build-your-own gift boxes, for those who want to make it more personal. And don’t forget the panettone and pandoro! These classic Italian holiday cakes are made following centuries-old traditions with the highest quality ingredients, which symbolize luck and prosperity. In a year like this, we need a lot of them! At Eataly, we offer one of the largest selections of panettone and pandoro flavors for every kind of taste.
