Madison Square Park Conservancy is responsible for the maintenance of the park’s lawns which are in the process of spring reseeding. While the grass is establishing now, visitors should expect the majority of lawns to be ready for use in late May.  Lawns are open daily for public use starting at 10 AM through 5 PM, weather permitting. Lawns are closed on Parade Days.  Learn more about park hours and rules by visiting our FAQ page.

Thursday | April 18 | 12 PM – 1 PM | Reflecting Pool

In partnership with NYC Audubon, join us for the first Wildlife Outing of the year, where we’ll search for and identify the various animals that make Madison Square Park their home in the heart of the big city.

Open to people of all ages, participants spot all types of wildlife in the park, so we invite you to bring your own binoculars. We’ll be meeting near the reflecting pool at noon.

Registration is kindly requested.
