The Naturalist Corner Webinar
Conservancy staff work hard to make the park a more welcoming place for wildlife, cultivating native plants and working hard to reduce harmful waste. However, when animals are sick, injured, or distressed, we call upon licensed rehabilitator Arina Hinzen.
Arina is a seasoned, DEC-licensed wildlife rehabilitator and educator. She is also co-founder of the Urban Wildlife Alliance, a 501(c) (3) non-profit with the mission of safeguarding the welfare of wild animals in urban and suburban environments. In her daily work as a passionate, outspoken, and hands-on wildlife advocate, she promotes compassion, understanding, and respect for urban wildlife to ensure peaceful coexistence with our wild neighbors.
Join Arina and Senior Operations Manager Jossue Velasquez to learn about their work protecting NYC’s wildlife in Madison Square Park and beyond. They will give tips for enjoying urban wildlife without disrupting it, and highlight what you can do to help wildlife in need.
