The Eras Tour: Madison Square in the Gilded Age
February 19 | 12:30 PM | The Eras Tour: Madison Square in the Gilded Age
Meet at the NW Entrance at 26th and Fifth
Step back into the splendor of the Gilded Age and explore the rich history of Madison Square during its first heyday!
In anticipation of our upcoming fundraiser, The Manhattan Mix-Off: A Madison Square Affair, this special tour will highlight Madison Square Park’s legacy as the social, political and cultural heart of New York City during the Gilded Age—including the birth of the Manhattan cocktail, named for the famed Manhattan Club.
This free tour is open to the public, but kindly register in advance using the link here.
The Manhattan Mix-Off on March 11th will celebrate craftsmanship and community, with four of the neighborhood’s premier mixologists competing to be selected as the official Madison Square Park Manhattan, all in support of the park. Sample all four entries and watch as the winner is crowned, then enjoy hors d’ouerves, an open bar and entertainment, courtesy of the newly opened Barlume. Tickets are available using the button below.
