Madison Square Park Conservancy is responsible for the maintenance of the park’s lawns which are in the process of spring reseeding. While the grass is establishing now, visitors should expect the majority of lawns to be ready for use in late May.  Lawns are open daily for public use starting at 10 AM through 5 PM, weather permitting. Lawns are closed on Parade Days.  Learn more about park hours and rules by visiting our FAQ page.

Back again! Stop ‘N’ Swaps are a great way to reduce waste by giving away items you no longer need, and picking up something that needs a new home. This year will mark the 3rd GrowNYC Stop ‘N’ Swap® in the park.

Bring lightly used items for the GrowNYC Stop ‘N’ Swap®, and-or take home something that’s new-to-you for free. Visit the GrowNYC website for a full list of accepted items. In general, swappable Items include clean, reusable, portable items such as clothing, housewares, working electronics, books, and toys.

This event is weather permitting (Rain Date: April 20). Stay tuned via instagram @madisonsquarepark
