Bees aren’t the only pollinators out there—hundreds of species contribute to the pollination process, including birds, beetles, flies, and more. These pollinators are vital to both our ecosystem and the park. During our free, family-friendly Pollinator Picnic event, we’ll be celebrating all our local pollinators for their important work fertilizing our plants and flowers, and helping our environment thrive.

The event will take place in the southwest corner of the park, and feature programs for all ages, including pollinator-inspired eco-walks, musical performances, a clothing upcycling table where you can give your old personal items new life, and a photo booth. Neighborhood restaurants will also be providing eco-conscious picnic options for purchase during the event, served in reusable Re: Dish containers to cut down on waste and protect the environment that pollinators support.

View the image gallery to see the pollinator-supported food items that local businesses will be providing for the event. Both Scarpetta and il Fiorista will be in the park during Pollinator Picnic. You can pre-order your meals from Scarpetta here, and pre-order your meals from il Fiorista here. All other meals can be picked up directly from the local restaurants during the event.
