Donate to Reduce – Books

This Plastic Free July, community members will have the opportunity to learn how to reduce single-use plastics and donate items around family, pets, lunch, and lifestyle.

Donate your lightly-used books to New York Edge and contribute to building literacy for students in underinvested communities. The event will be held on the north side of the park by the Reflecting Pool on July 20 from 4 – 6 PM.

While all books are accepted, New York Edge would like books to use in their afterschool and summer literacy programs for Read-A-Thons and Read Alouds.

Preferred books include:

  • Kindergarten- High School Reading Level
  • Children’s Books
  • Young Adult Fiction
  • Comic Books
This program is made possible by our Sponsors at Amazon and The New York EDITION.
