Madison Square Park Conservancy is responsible for the maintenance of the park’s lawns which are in the process of spring reseeding. While the grass is establishing now, visitors should expect the majority of lawns to be ready for use in late May.  Lawns are open daily for public use starting at 10 AM through 5 PM, weather permitting. Lawns are closed on Parade Days.  Learn more about park hours and rules by visiting our FAQ page.

National Pollinator Week BioBlitz

June 21 - June 27, 2021

National Pollinator Week BioBlitz

Pa Gl 20 0504 02

This month, we celebrate the pollinators of Madison Square Park. Discover the bees, bats, birds, and butterflies that work hard to keep the park’s gardens healthy and vibrant.

Join expert-led tours for a BioBlitz on Friday, June 25 through Sunday, June 27 at 9 AM to search the park high and low for pollinators. Together, we will make observations of these species and their habitats using the free iNaturalist app. Each finding will help protect the pollinators that keep Madison Square Park green.

All tours will begin at The Fountain.
