Music Series with Carnegie Hall: July 28

In collaboration with Carnegie Hall, Music on the Green is a free, unticketed concert series inspired by Maya Lin’s Ghost Forest that brings artists from the Hall’s Ensemble Connect to reflect on the themes of the exhibition.

Concerts are held every Wednesday from July 7 through August 11 at 6 – 7 PM on the Oval Lawn. Limited seating is available on a first come, first served basis. Program is rain or shine.

MUSIC SERIES

On Wednesday, July 28 from 6 – 7 PM, listen to a performance on oboe, clarinet, bassoon, cello, and vibraphone. Participating musicians include Sae Hashimoto, percussion; Suliman Tekalli, violin; and Ari Evan, cello.

The program includes:

  • Andrea Cassarubios, Speechless
  • Leven Zuelke, At a Cemetery
  • Ravel, Lent, selections from Sonata for Violin and Cello
  • Dutilleux, Trois Strophes sur le nom de Sacher for Cello
  • Faure, Sicilienne, Op. 78 (arr. Sae Hashimoto)
  • Claude Debussy, Interlude from Sonata for Flute, Viola, and Harp (arr. for Violin, Cello, and Marimba by Sae Hashimoto)
  • Duke Ellington, Single Petal of Rose
