Music Series with Carnegie Hall: August 4
In collaboration with Carnegie Hall, Music on the Green is a free, unticketed concert series inspired by Maya Lin’s Ghost Forest that brings artists from the Hall’s Ensemble Connect to reflect on the themes of the exhibition.
Concerts are held every Wednesday from July 7 through August 11 at 6 – 7 PM on the Oval Lawn. Limited seating is available on a first come, first served basis. Program is rain or shine.
MUSIC SERIES
On Wednesday, August 4 from 6 – 7 PM, enjoy an evening of summer instrumental music performed on marimba and vibraphone. Participating musicians include Ian Sullivan, vibraphone and Sae Hashimoto, marimba.
The program includes:
- Chick Corea, Children’s Songs
- Erik Satie, Trois Gnossiennes
- Duke Ellington, Single Petal of Rose
- John Psathas, Fragment (arr. Jeremy Fitzsimons)
- Chick Corea, Brasilia
