Madison Square Park Conservancy is responsible for the maintenance of the park’s lawns which are in the process of spring reseeding. While the grass is establishing now, visitors should expect the majority of lawns to be ready for use in late May.  Lawns are open daily for public use starting at 10 AM through 5 PM, weather permitting. Lawns are closed on Parade Days.  Learn more about park hours and rules by visiting our FAQ page.

“Landscape and Memory” Reflection Board

Landscape And Memory South Rashmi PNG

Since its debut, Cristina Iglesias’ Landscape and Memory has prompted viewers to reflect on questions surrounding buried nature and forgotten histories.

Stop by the park from July 25 through August 1, between noon and 2 PM, and share your thoughts on a question central to artist Cristina Iglesias’s Landscape and Memory exhibition: What is a forgotten history you have unearthed?

Responses will be added to a Reflection Board installed in the park for all to see and consider.
