Forest Bathing on Arbor Day
For city dwellers, time in nature can be especially impactful. Forest Bathing – think “sunbathing” but among trees – enables a deep connection with nature, one another, and self even in a bustling urban setting. In the course of a slow, mindful walk, you will gently awaken your body, mind, and spirit. Inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, forest bathing also boosts the immune system, reduces stress, and improves cognitive functioning. Nourish yourself and your connection to the earth’s wonders as Nancy Kopans, certified forest therapy guide and founder of Urban Edge Forest Therapy, guides you on an enriching and reflective walk.
Walk will begin by the Reflecting Pool at 5:30 PM. Limited space available.
