Carnegie Hall Citywide: Alisa Amador
July 10 | 6 PM – 7:15 PM | Oval Lawn
This July, in conjunction with Rose B. Simpson’s exhibition Seed, Carnegie Hall plans a stunning range of free outdoor concerts on the Oval Lawn of Madison Square Park as musicians take the stage. Join us for an evening performance by the powerful, funky-folk singer-songwriter Alisa Amador.
Winner of the 2022 Tiny Desk Contest, Amador’s recognition has grown greatly over the past several years. This performance comes just weeks after the release of her debut full-length studio album, Multitudes. The title speaks to the range of emotions, experiences, and uncertainties explored by the New England–born artist with roots in Argentina, Puerto Rico, and New Mexico, whose music “commands attention and fosters connection,” according to NPR’s Bob Boilen.
Starting at 5 PM, Eataly and Flatiron Wines & Spirits will be selling snacks and wine on the southwest part of the Oval Lawn for patrons to enjoy during the performance.
