Gardens of Renewal – Workshop: Build Your Own Solitary Bee Home
Gardens of Renewal – Workshop: Build Your Own Solitary Bee Home
June 21 | 1 – 3 PM | Sparrow Lawn
Give our smallest pollinators a big boost! In this interactive workshop, participants will learn how to build simple, beautiful homes for solitary bees—non-aggressive, solitary creatures that do not live in colonies. Though they don’t produce honey or wax, native solitary bees are vital pollinators in our ecosystems.
Solitary bees have lost much of their natural habitat due to urbanization and concrete, and bee homes provide much-needed shelter for these incredible pollinators. This workshop provides a great way to support biodiversity at your home. This program is open to all but is recommended for ages 10+.
Tickets are free but required for this event.
