Madison Square Park Conservancy is responsible for the maintenance of the park’s lawns which are in the process of spring reseeding. While the grass is establishing now, visitors should expect the majority of lawns to be ready for use in late May.  Lawns are open daily for public use starting at 10 AM through 5 PM, weather permitting. Lawns are closed on Parade Days.  Learn more about park hours and rules by visiting our FAQ page.

Photo contest ends October 30

On Friday the 13th, we welcome all our furry friends and their pet parents to celebrate the start of spooky season by wearing their costumes down to the park. Visit friends of MSPC and collect treats for both pets and parkgoers along the way. Snap a photo at our spooky boneyard bench and consider a submission to the Conservancy’s virtual Best In Pet Costume photo contest.

To enter, use the form below, email your photo to info@madisonsquarepark.org, or direct message us on Instagram @madsqparknyc.

Add to your coven or wolfpack by visiting ASPCA’s mobile adoption unit where wonderful adoptable dogs and cats are waiting for loving homes.

Thank you to our sponsors: Axel and Tia’s Pet Bakery, Bethpage Federal Credit Union, Fotografiska, Kinship, Lesure Pet, The Pupper Cup, Shake Shack, Small Door Veterinary, and Spot and Tango for making this event possible! Special thanks to the ASPCA for attending with their mobile adoption truck.

Free and open to the public, all pet parents, and their furry friends.

Please consider a donation to Madison Square Park Conservancy so that we can continue to offer free programs and maintain the park throughout the year. Donate here.
