Gardens of Renewal: Horticulture Panel Discussion

Join us for a botanical discussion led by Stephanie Lucas, director of Madison Square Park Conservancy’s horticulture team. The discussion will explore the ecological and cultural significance of Lily Kwong’s Gardens of Renewal, as well as the role of plant science and urban greening in creating immersive landscapes that promote healing, connection, and environmental stewardship.
Lucas, with additional special guest speakers, will provide an in-depth look at the planting design and sustainable practices that shape New York City’s green spaces, highlighting how native species support biodiversity, pollinators, and climate resilience in urban settings.
