Studio Series 2011 Finale

The final Studio Series concert of the year ended with a perfect afternoon of Americana and folk with the Jean Rohe Trio and Nora Jane Struthers and the Bootleggers.

Up-and-coming songwriter Nora Jane Struthers and her Bootleggers brought their infectious mix of bluegrass and Americana, performing covers and originals from her debut album, Nora Jane Struthers. The group offered up poignant tunes like Greenbrier County and showstoppers such as Cowgirl Yodel #3, even bringing Zara Brode from The Sweetback Sisters to the stage.

The Jean Rohe Trio opened the show with their own blend of jazz and world folk. Singing songs off of her latest release, Lead Me Home, the Trio used guitar, marimba, and other percussion to fill the Park with eclectic sounds from North and South America.
