Dale Ann Bradley was the 2007, 2008, and 2009 International Bluegrass Music Association’s Female Vocalist of the Year. She has been hailed by Alison Krauss as one of the greatest vocalists in country and bluegrass music. Her voice is “shimmering” (The Washington Post), “angelic” (Billboard), and “exceptional” (Bluegrass Unlimited), and her performances fill every venue with humor, grace, and integrity.
The Steel Wheels are creating tremendous excitement with their blend of great songwriting, passionate vocals and tight instrumentals. They are truly an Americana band, rooted in musical styles that explore the territories between blues and bluegrass, old-time sing-alongs and foot-stompin fiddle tunes. It’s been a great year for The Steel Wheels. The band’s spring 2010 album Red Wing ranked in the Americana Music Association’s Top 100 Americana Albums of the Year, received five nominations in the Independent Music Awards and was named “one of the best albums of the year” by Maverick magazine. “Imagine a blend of the passion of the Avett Brothers, the instrumentals of Old Crow Medicine Show, and then sprinkle in the backwoods feel of The Legendary Shack Shakers,” wrote John Walker of Americana Roots.
