Moona Luna is the passionate second project of Mexican-American songwriter Sandra Velasquez and her Latin band Pistolera. Inspired by the birth of her daughter, Velasquez wrote an albums’ worth of bilingual songs geared for families. Their debut album, Piñata Party, won a Parent’s Choice Award and the band has performed on festival stages all over the country, most recently on the National Mall in Washington D.C. They are currently working on their second album.
