The effortlessly charming and humorous Nellie McKay performed in the fourth Oval Lawn series concert last night. She sang a mix originals and covers that spanned the gamut of genres, starting the night with a melodic piano original and then moved from rock to reggae to jazz. The audience was enamored with Nellie’s effervescent wit as she continually garnered laughs with each passing number. Singing a medley of songs for her encore, the audience could not get enough of her quirky on-stage personality.

After the show, Nellie graciously greeted her fans and shook hands with each as she signed merchandise at the Madison Square Park Conservancy tent. It was truly a memorable night of great music.
