Ever hear of Mexo-Americana music? If you’d been at Mad. Sq. Music on Wednesday night, you definitely would have. For the sixth concert in our summer Oval Lawn series, the Conservancy brought Mexo-Americana fusion group, David Wax Museum to the Park. Performing songs from their latest release, Everything is Saved, the Museum, along with Mexican son jarocho dancer Julia del Palacio, won over the crowd with a mix of traditional Mexican folk, American roots, and indie rock. Armed with arresting harmonies and fiddle, guitar, drums, sax, and donkey jawbone instrumentation, the Museum got the crowd on their feet with songs like Chuchumbe and Born with a Broken Heart.
