Cub Scouts Service

With Veterans Day less than a week away, Cub Scout Pack 526 came to Madison Square Park to do community service and pay tribute.

Last Saturday the Cub Scouts spent their day cleaning the Eternal Light Memorial Flagpole in Madison Square Park. The Eternal Light Flagpole was erected on November 11, 1923 to honor the Army and Navy troops from World War I. The Cub Scouts used the cleaning activity as their own way to honor and learn about US Veterans. Several of the pack members had great grandfathers who had served during the World Wars.

The Cub Scouts will also be marching in the Veterans Day Parade this Friday,  November 11.
